“My first trip to Tamworth was when I was 14. I had no idea what to expect, but loved every bit of it. I loved that there was music everywhere and kids my age that loved singing and they especially loved country music. I was able to go and see some of my favorite singers and songwriters and I was lucky enough to be apart of some great shows.”

“My favorite Tamworth memory was the year I graduated at the Australian College of Country music. I got to write and play music everyday with so many talented people. It was also amazing to have one on ones with the most amazing muso’s that Australian Music has to offer. That Tamworth I was lucky enough to be a Grand Finalist in the Toyota Star Maker and the Telstra Road To Tamworth. Those competitions, although I did not win taught me so much about performing and being the best I could be!”

“Sadly I wasn’t able to attend this years festival, but I have been following most of what has been going on. I really wish I was able to be apart of my favorite and regular show at the Festival the FABULOUS TOMKINS GUITARS SHOWCASE and I usually do a couple of spots with the Amazing Warren H Williams, whom I absolutely love and adore. Warren has taught me so much about performing and song writing.”

“This year I have a show on Australia Day in my Hometown of Newcastle, which I am so excited for. It is going to be held right on the waterfront! I don’t get the chance that often to gig in Newcastle so when this turned up I jumped at it. I also have a show coming up with some very close friends Alby and Melody Pool. I have grown up with Mel so it is always great to get together with her for a show.”

“My Tamworth party drink – definitely some great bubbly or LEMONADE…. and hangover cure definitely something greasy… Nothing beats a hamburger, hot chips and a can of Coke….. Best cure ever…”

“My Golden tips for this year – I would like to see Markus Meier win Male, I have known Markus for a few years now! He has worked so hard and deserves this recognition. I would love for Catherine Britt to win Female this year, she is such an amazing songwriter and hey, she is from my hometown of Newcastle, so she gets my VOTE!!!”
